These will not last as long and hard as genuine article. Originals last for decades. I have a bunch from late '80s still in use. Can I recommend these? Yes with reservations. If you need the best audio connection known to man - XLR - and don't need connectors that last forever or interact and fit with every single other manufacturers, buy these. If you gig or have proper recording studio or such - don't buy these. This set is nearly 5 times cheaper than the originals so it probably influences your decision. Beware these don't fit properly, too snug, into some genuine Neutrik XLRs. Why did they destroy otherwise perfectly good product? I don't understand. First time I've seen this.

XLR Plugs are OK, they have a machined contact like more expensive brands, which make soldering easy. The sockets, unfortunately, are not machined, they are just stamped sheet metal contacts, which make soldering much more difficult. Both are better for smaller diameter cables, 6mm diameter or less, assembly of the strain relief onto the connector body is difficult for larger diameter cables. But the connectors are a good value compared to the big name brands.

These connectors fit nicely together, but do not mate with standard XLRs from Switchcraft or Neutrik. The inside diameter of the male connector is 0.3..0.5mm smaller than "real" XLRs.
