This little thing is cute and good looking, although it is slooowwww when plugged in a MEGA. I was curious to see if it would go faster in a DUE. But in the documentation, nothing is said on compatibility with DUE. A big issue is that Due has 3.3V and MEGA 5V inputs. I did not want to fry my DUE, so, first, I checked if it was electrically compatible. And it is! in the shield, it has a pair of 74LC245A wired as level shifters. These are powered at 3.3V, and have 5V tolerant inputs. So, I plugged it, compiled the graphics demo sketch, and wow! refreshing speed was fantastic. Conclusion: good for applications with static display or requiring low refreshing speed... or switch to an Arduino DUE.
