I ordered 6 of these to use in our front yard. There is some work required to make these functional, such as extending the leads and adding a connector so that these will splice into an existing landscape lighting wire. That being said, these function on either 12V AC or DC (I've tested them both ways). Typical landscape lighting transformers are 12VAC. I've only used the warm white color, they look like incandescent lights - not quite equal to a 20W halogen. The beam on these are fairly narrow, so they aren't good for use as a wall wash or walkways unless you can put some distance between the light and what you want to illuminate. These are great for lighting trees, house numbers, flags, etc.

This is the second set of yard lights I bought from Banggood. At this price you can try different lights and if you don't like them, try another. THESE i love. I use them in white mode, but because they have three LEDS even though the general splay of light is white, I get the colored highliights I like. I use them as uplights on trees in a small backyard, and they are great.
