I needed a very bright adjustable flashlight for work. This is the best unit I have ever owned.It is super bright and can be stepped down to a nice glow if need be. It is rugged and reliable. You will want to change it from the default 4 mode to the much better 7 mode of operation. You can download an operating manual which explains how to get to the various modes. I much prefer the cool white light option than the natural light for everyday use.
