The filter works fine, but the motor is louder than the one from Dennerle (it has almost the same Design) which could get on your nerves if your aquarium stands near your bed. The build quality is what you would expect for the price. I don't know if it is only my filter but if it would be quieter it would be perfect for me and would get 5 stars.
