Appears to be well made for the price and is completely made out of metal. Came with a spare battery and a small screwdriver to change the battery. Only problem is that, if opened quickly, it sometimes slips and starts to show 5,08 or 5,09mm more than the correct measurement. In those cases it has to be closed again and zeroed. If opened slowly, this problem does not appear. Otherwise, it seems to be accurate and the locking screw works well.

I've used other cheap calipers with the plastic electronics housings & they often have issues with the sliding battery door staying closed & the battery making proper contact leading to resets during use. This has the battery cover screwed in position which should prevent the problem. After a few weeks of use so far so good. Accurate enough for my usage. Goes down to 2 decimal places (others only go to 1). Measured a set of feeler gauges & the numbers match. Spare battery is nice touch.
