This product is not easy to solder. 225 LEDs, each 3 times (including soldering the cathode pad). Good advice is to check the each LED column separately using 2,5V voltage, before soldering MCU. Checking earlier soldering of each LED can exclude bad connection. Please check voltages: Pin at C1 is the ground. The same ground is the pin 14 of MCU. Pin 12 od MCU is +5V. Other pins on MCU should have a little lower voltage (about 4,8V). After a few times of checking my soldering this product works and was worth to buy.

Por alguna razón me dejé llevar por el video y las fotos pero no sabía que viene desarmado. ahora voy a ver como lo ensamblo. PD. debería traer manual ya que no se que resistencias van en su lugar y las polaridades de los leds. voy a experimentar. espero excelentes resultados. el envió fue rápido.

I built the product (DIY) the light is pretty low i made some pictures compare to my banggood DIY clock. This visualizer is useless, i made this pictures at night with lamp light so this product useless in daylight. The flashing is pre programmed not the music controll the lights every time.

Great DIY set. As many wrote before, the main issue is to solder 255 leds - i did it with soldering paste and hot air gun. You have to check each column/each led before soldering IC because i found 2 shortcuts and 3 badly soldered leds :-) Looks great.

I have to admit when I first received this kit and realized that I would have to solder 225 individual smt diodes.. I was a bit taken back. The diodes are extremely tiny and unless you have patience , a steady hand, magnification glasses, the proper thin gauge solder and the proper soldering iron.. this would be a nearly impossible task for most people. I took my time and over the course of 3 evenings, carefully soldered all diodes into place. The installation of the other components were rather easy after the led installation ordeal. I would make a suggestion in the installation the processor chip and use a small strip of double sided tape and place it between the contacts on the board prior to solder the chip in place. This will make the task of alignment to the many pins easier once you have set the chip in place and atop each individual soldering pad. I made one slight modification to the instructions and used 3/16" spacers between the component side of the board the the final acrylic cover. This raised the height of the board to clear the top of a capacitor that would otherwise be protruding from the backside. Having a flat back side with nothing protruding just made more sense to me. (see attached photo). The unit performs exactly as described and I am very happy with it. I plan on purchasing at least one more kit.
