I came from PM1806 "plastic motor" and the DXW D1806 are for sure more powerful on the same setup (3S 1600me / 10A ESC / 5030 prop) But they're getting crazy hot, after 2-3 minutes the prop screw became too hot for my fingers! And the motor smells like wires are melting... I don't know if my motors are defective, but all 4 of them ?

Eddy Hsia checkscrews used to mount from bottom. Probably too long and running into the copper coils, shorting, bad news.
