The Vain steering system is something to order for extra parts ! even if you don't need it yet. If your boat is wet and slips out of your hands on the sidewalk...it may damage the plastic parts. Same goes with the Prop. Have a good grip on a wet Boat or you will loose grip of it !. Grip gloves are a must for handling this Boat ! Never over tighten screws . If the boat does not start , it may have water in the electronic PARTS. When you buy a Boat and does not run at all... As a service tech... I took the Body apart carefully. The front of the Boat has glue on the two poles of joining the body ! When you have taken it apart with a soft butter knife... unscrew the four bolts on the box. Take the receiver out and cleaned the glue off and "carefully" check every part soldered on the board . One area shows "sloppy work" in soldering and bled the solder to the other side of the capacitor . By scraping them apart... it worked ! Check the rest and remember to put the Box seal back with smooth care. Blow dry the boat in low heat setting with the hair dryer 15 inches away . The Boat will work and "enjoy"
