I have three of these in black. I've never seen a backpack for adults at this price, so grabbed them when it happened on this site. I have an EDC load of about 20 lbs in it from personal care to icepacks and food. I check the straps almost daily, wear and tear on the bag fabric, and the condition of zippers, because I can't believe the structural integrity of the sewing, zipper teeth, and loop fasteners. It is the most modular pack I've seen of this size. It is possible to have water, food, and clothing for at least two days survival, though you cannot fit a sleeping bag anywhere on it. As an EDC system, it does very well. I would be carrying a pistol if my company allowed them in our building, but it easily will accomodate a Taurus 738 or similar along with all your other necessities.
