Amazing kit for the price. I have no way of testing the accuracy of the heating element temperature control but can confirm that lower settings melt less well / more slowly than higher settings. Of the accessories, the really useful things are the additional bits, solder-sucker, and tweezers. The stand is as expected - flaky if you don't bolt it down (very lightweight) and the sponge won't stand up to much abuse. Used the iron a few times, no sign of bit corrosion as yet (probably an hour's worth of use to date). More than satisfied after checking many, many different offers. It's replacing an old-school branded iron, so it has a lot to live up to: so far, so good!
