Sounds are pretty subjective, really. Sometimes we WANT a muddy sound to sound different. This pedal is pretty muddy, but there is a place for that. There are other sounds you can achieve fiddling around, it's really not a bad pedal. I just so happened to also get a Mosky Brown Sound at the exact same time and I'm super impressed with THAT one. Find sound samples online and make your decision. You can't beat the price.
