This is a wonderful kit for people who are learning to build kits. A good beginners kit is one that is easy to build, and that you will be rewarded with an extremely great device once you've finished building it. The PCB is nicely silkscreened with all the parts and their positions. Everything is thru-hole, and all the holes are plated, making it easy to solder. The layout of the PCB is good enough where it will fit nicely in a project case. The kit does not come with any documentation, so you need to download the PDF. You can build the kit without the PDF, however in order to use the device once it is built, you will need the documentation. The parts are actually a little on the low quality side. The resistors have very thin leads. And, they feel like there may be dirt and such on the leads, so highly recommend cleaning the leads with alcohol before using them. The 9V battery connection to the PCB could have been better designed - maybe a connector rather than soldered on directly. That way, you can opt for something else other than a 9V battery.
