I have been building audio circuits for a few years now, and was always hesitant to put the money/time into the research to acquire this essential piece of test gear. So when i stumbled across this affordable oscilloscope kit, I figured it was about time for me to get one. The assembly is straightforward and the instructions are easy to follow. Triggering with the internal test point and trimming the rising and falling edges is also straightforward and explained with a good amount of detail in the instructions. I powered it off a slightly used 9 volt battery for the photo and noticed a fair amount of ripple. Further research indicates that powering this unit from a more stable 9v 200ma power source will eliminate this ripple. This is an easy to use first scope for beginning and intermediate level hobbyists. I am entirely satisfied with my purchase!
