This works well and I highly recommend this to get your plane quickly into the air without a flight controller. It automatically recognizes the protocol, in my case inverted sBus from an XM+ set to 16CH with telemetry on channel 16 (FCC firmware). However, the converter was factory set to channels 9-16 rather than channels 1-8. I read all the instructions, reviews, and answered questions and nobody says how to fix this. Firstly, the red light you might think is a power light is actually telling you it's set to channel 9-16. Secondly you can't just push the button to switch it as the instructions say. You must power up with the button pushed, as if you were binding. The cool thing is you could have two of these, connected to the same sBUS output, controlling 16 servos. Or you can send sBus to the flight controller and this unit getting channels 9-16 from this device for gimbals and such. What an amazing converter!
