It's really easy to put together but my 11-year old had a hard time putting it together because he isn't very patient and maybe ADD. I basically ended up putting most of it together. The hardest part was attaching the wires to the gear. I don't know if it will work. Seems like the artificial light might not be bright enough. We'll see. Whether it works or not, I enjoyed putting it together.
