although it has battery, it won't turn on without being connected to current, but a good thing is that input is 5v, so a usb port will do, even if it draws current from your laptop, it misses a on/off button that it doesn't have. Brightness / screen clarity is a bit washed out, touch at least in Ubuntu 18.04 doesn't work correctly out of the box. Screen OSD is confusing, and some functions don't work as intended. Overall is a good product, serves the primary usage that it was intended, but there is some room for improvement, specially in power management (what's the use of having a battery it it must be connected to power for working?), since you won't find many portable monitors with battery and touch in this price range.
