for such price of course it's lesser quality. thunderbolt plug is a bit harder to attach. flexible cord. nothing comes loose. no signal issues so far (1 week of constant use) plastic has exact same color as apple's original. not exact same shape though. pretty happy with the unit. worth picking if you are not planning to reconnect it each day, and doesn't care of exact match with apple thunderbolt plug.

Video signal transmits perfectly. The delay on "signal on/off" is acceptable. I have not tested the HDMI CEC, but I assume the CEC bit would be low.
