I believe if you want to replace the reduction gear on the A959-B you can use this gear but you will need to have the metal upgrade chassis as it has slots so you can adjust placement of the 27T motor gear along with the 540 motor as this part is just smaller than the plastic reduction gear that comes as standard. i've just purchased the metal upgrade chassis so i will test this THEORY out to confirm and update this review.
