Relly quite surprised with how good this is. Build quality is nice. The screen is crisp and clear, with good blacks and lots of brighness availabe. Colours are a little muted compared to some other screens, but still decent. Had to correct for a little too much green tint to start with. The touhscreen works great, its a more obvious thing to use when the netbook is so small. The keyboard is smaller than you may be used to, but fine for writing after you've had time to adjust. The keyboard layout is US. The keys have an action that is perfectly fine. The mouse nubbin isnt great, it does the job, but like i said, the touchscreen is very close to the other inout keys, so is my main input method. that or a bluetooth mouse. The power adapter has a US plug (not interchangeable), which is a shame if you are in the UK as its a nice size and youll need an extra adapter or another charger. Im surprised by the power of the machine. Its really fast for office products, web browsing, watching movies etc. and will even play older 3D games. But this comes at a cost. the device gets uncomfortably hot. The fan is noisy and doesnt seem to push out much air or heat. This means you need to throttle the performance if its on your lap. I question the lifespan of the motherboard or the battery given this. The cooling solution clearly needs an upgrade, which is exactly what ill be doing shortly - fitting a mecbook air fan and changing the thermal paste to a higher performance variety. The SSD is SUPER fast. Battery life is about 2 hrs on max settings, 5 on balanced, 6+ on power saving. Despite its shortcomings I really like this device. There are always compromises given the size. But its as close to a full PC as you can get in a tiny netbook. On balanced battery settings its still got plenty of horsepower too. Took a week to arrrive via DHL.
