Q: My welder dumped full currant. Found 2 shorts in the MOSFETS. First was bad soldering between PIN 1 and PINS 2-8. Very hard to see unless looking from flat view with light. Top view looked like a clean soldering job. The second was bad component. Question is what is the easiest way to remove the MOSFET from the board? I warmed the board and used hot hair and flux but it has prove to to be very difficult.

charlieboy119 use a low melt solder to decrees the melting temperature then try with your hot air again.

Q: My product just dumps full current all the time. The button switches modes just fine but it doesn’t control anything. What troubleshooting are there to rectify this issue? Quit a few people are having this issue for some time and it has not been fixed.

Not bad. The image is quite clear, not all fuzzy. the scroll wheel in the front adjusts the image, the one on the side is for the light which is a little odd for me but it works. I haven’t messed with all the settings since it works just fine as is for me. I did have an issue getting the date to stay for a time stamp. “Figured out” I needed to hold the power button until it turned off after setting it. Just pressing ok moves to the next time slot to adjust and menu is just a back button. I do not like the plug adaptor. It is better than nothing and gets the job done. However, I will be using one of my own. Other than that, I’m pleased for the moment.

So far everything works fine. The only issue I had is the screws for the lead screw bearing guides were too big. They did not fit the T-Nuts and the holes in the guides so I had to get the right ones as you can see in the photos.

Just wish I had a better container to store them all in. They come in nice a little set of packages so you can just use what you need and store the rest. No need to sort through a bunch.

No issues here. Everything works just like it should. I just need a to get better at crimping the tips.

BG388515024 I have the SKR Mini E3 v2. There’s an extra spot for the motor to connect. No firmware upgrade needed.
