Where I live, the lakes have a couple of feet of ice on them now so the "how it sails" review is a ways off. That being said, I am impressed with the quality and value of this product. It was well packaged and undamaged. The kit was complete with nothing missing and even a few spare bits and pieces. Everything fit well together, no forcing or filing. The directions could have had larger and more detailed pictures but everything that you will need to know is there. The directions explained how to do all of the rope work but that wasn't necessary as it was already done (good for reference though). I am anxious to see how it sails!

BG530514832 Theice is long gone and the boat sails well! It is my summer of knee surgeries so I haven't used it as much as I would like to but unlike my real sailboat, it is actually getting used. It will handle a pretty fresh breeze good sized chop without any difficulty. I haven't figured out how to tack reliably in sporty conditions but I can always pull of a nice, tight jybe. I haven't had the opportunity to sail with other boats yet but I have a good feeling about it. Whether you are just getting into sailing or downsizing from a seventy foot yacht, you probably need one of these!
