Grafton26 Hi mate , this spindle motor is a simple DC motor , the speed is controlled by varying the level of DC voltage the motor receives the silver box is the variable DC power supply , very simple but effective . hope this helps you

Grafton26 Have since tried it out and love it , it's light but stand is sturdy enough to do the job , the led ligh id bright and plugs into a usb charger or power bank with a usb socket , it's excellent value for money
Q: Does this come in an inch scale reading. And if so where do I find that version thanks

Grafton26 thisone is for controlling ac power there are others that are made for use on DC power supplies
