Q: What are the differences between the GJ-8019 and GJ-8018? Is it only the accessories or are there other improvements? Is it the same circuit board? Will this show a more accurate temperature than the 8018? Thank you!

Lulu_Dooblydoo The GJ-8019 has a built-in cooldown switch via the holder. The GJ-8018 has to manually reduce the heat and run the fan - not convenient. Both models do not cooldown from OFF as the PG-8018LCD does.

Located in NE USA and received about a week after ordering. Build quality seems surprisingly good for the price, and had no problems reflowing a variety of smd parts. I put practically zero trust in the digital temperature read-out, but that's not really needed for smd work since you can just eye-ball if the temp's correct based on how the solder reacts. The two controls (temp and fan speed) are manual, so make sure to turn off the heater and run the fan for a few minutes before turning the unit off. This will allow the heater to cool and will greatly increase the lifetime of the device. That being said, I'd definitely recommend it for hobby use.

Good adequate holster, not too stiff. Holds the Astrolux EC01 snuggly. Can accommodate longer lights - 140 mm. Excellent workmanship - no sewing faults.

Astrolux makes a great quality torch. The details as s/s bezel & switch retainer, threads and assembly, all without faults. The light is a great outdoor performer with a good throw all the while usable spill. And with Anduril, best UI.

Received well boxed and at 3.48 volts - correct storage voltage. Has 4300 mAh capacity and 40 mOhm (cold start-up). Took some 4 weeks to get to Canada, with added shipping works out at $17. A tad expensive, but for a premium battery is better than Vape shops' prices.

Pros: nice holster, excellent price, fits with S42 + extended tube (18650). Cons: tight fit - a little too stiff material for easy withdrawal. Works fine with other light (Thorefire TK15). Doesn't work well with shorty tube (18650) - as expected! A softer material would have been better for this small size light.

Cost some $10 more than listed, surcharge for battery shipping, tracking. There was a window of opportunity. Now Banggood can no longer ship batteries - unfortunate. One thing, the batteries are re-skinned with a clear tough protective film - perhaps now standard by Samsung?

Does the job well, mounting 23 mm diameter flashlight to bike. Made from good resilient plastic and thick claw. Had to slightly modify the cam disconnect clamp for quick release - filed the slot some 3 mm. Added some neoprene padding to bar attachment - grasped no less than 30 mm. now 25 mm. Just my nickel's worth, steel components should be in stainless and/or aluminium for weatherproofing. But for the cost, excellent value.

As advertised - fits perfectly to my S42. Some days will be using the stub version (close quarter work) and sometimes need an EDC for 5 - 25 m inspection. Keep the tube with 18650 in a tool drawer.

Great outdoor type flashlight. Had to make adjustments to align shank with the top button and end cap markings - flashlight enthusiasts obsession! Light is floody and warm; so bright to eliminate shadows and really make out the smaller details (beasts lurking or just a twig?). The U.I is very comprehensive, ramping is so smooth. Still much to fickle with! Construction and assembly are top notch - no damaged screws and the button LEDs are evenly lit. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Detailed assembly. Wire wound resistors, markings are top side. LEDS well balanced - not too small nor overbright. Nitpick: Ohm's law written 4 times - overkill.

Well built and beautiful display. All the info at a glance, independent channels with low / fast charging (dependant of your power brick). Wish it came with its own power supply or direct wall mount plug. Edit: with power meter between supply and charger can verify current drawn, not indicated on LCD panel (total mAh shown).

Got this with Juwei dynamic load module and power meter (Product ID: 1171108). Not tested yet but seems fairly thought out. Buttons are clicky and blue LEDs are nice. (what can I say?)

Added some rubber feet to the module for table mounting. Received with one potentiometer bent back as no bubblewrap in the box. Carefully replaced and works fine. The power meter does not look the same as advertised and has but 3 digits (not that it really matters for testing batteries). Not blue but cyan green. Towards the end of a cell discharge, the display will dim considerably making the small text hard to read. The load current drawn lowers the available power to the display - reducing the load will re-energize the display. When a protected battery tests out (cuts off) the display will go black - disconnect the load to re-light Wish there was an auto cut-out voltage for non-protected cells. As is must monitor to not overdraw. The break-out leads are good gage and lengthy (50 cm) - also soldered to alligators (that's a +). There is a small header terminal in front next to the USB, my guess is a by-pass of the standard USB connector.

Received on date expected. Great little flashlight for my use. The Nichia emitters deliver a warm color that works well in close quarters. A nitpick; if the U.I. could respond faster would be better - pressing some 4 seconds to turn off is a bit lengthy but still very acceptable.
