so far so good. I’ve got these in a couple of 3d printed brushless whoops. The motors run fine with beta flight based controller. They come with 4 mounting screws, though the base only uses 3. I get 3+ minutes of flight with a 300 mah, 1s, at an all up weight of 29 grams for my quad. they look good and enough power for tiny whoop uses. only have a few flights on them so far. have not really pushed them that hard.

nice board for brushless whoop. I have frisky version and was able to link to my taranis qx7s no problem. easily upgraded and flashed via beta flight. spread controllers can be configured with bl helli software to reverse motor direction etc. all works as expected. flies fine in angle mode in the house so far using default lids. light weight. my whoops using 3d printed frames come in at about 22 grams without a battery, 29 grams with a 300 mah 1s lipo. I’m happy with it so far.

Q: I would like to know which version this A5 is. V1 printer with 3D printed parts on the Z-axis and X-axis. V2 printer with metal parts on Z-axis and X-axis V3 printer with a modified heater bed plug that is positioned vertically. this avoids the bed cables interfering with the X-motor cable. V4 printer with a rubber gasket around the top of the printer, to reduce noise from the cable tubing rubbing on the frame. V5 printer with NO drag chain, mounting points for internal motherboard fan removed, LCD filament sensor stuck down with hot glue V6 printer with new filament sensor

VE3MMR Well, here is what I can tell you. I just purchased one and it arrived this week (March 20, 2018). My unit has metal parts on z and x axis. The heater plug is positioned vertically. There is a rubber gasket on the top. I can see that there is hot glue holding the filament sensor connector in place. So from that I would say it's what you have called at least a V5. I don't know how to tell anything about new vs old filament sensors. My best gues is that it would appear to be a micro switch inside a white 3D printed support mounted under the filament feed motor. Hope that is helpful.

This printer looks fantastic. It arrived by DHL in good shape with no damage and rather quickly to Canada. The shipping on my order was also free. Awesome. A few minor aspects when unboxing were a missing print head shroud screw and one of the bed levelling knobs was inside the main housing and a European power cord. All easily addressed. This model looks updated in that all mechanical parts are metal and some connector issues have been updated and fixed. Worked well out of the box.
