Received today. Bottom roller was stiff and noisy. I pulled it out and found the inner axle is a piece of cheap steel that was covered in rust and grinding against the inside of the roller. This is totally unacceptable. Plastic parts are also very cheaply made.

I got the smallest one for shaping instrument necks. I bought it just as a spare for roughing in work, but I will be buying the other sizes now, this is so good. It is a medium coarse cut but it is very controllable. This little file is amazing for the price!

Excellent little brush, as good as the ones costing 4x the price. Slightly stiff, but gets deep into the record grooves and cleans well. I will probably buy another one for wet cleaning too.

Work fine, just like the ones from the more expensive guitar specialists. I'm knocking 1 quality point off because the edges were a little sharp (and could break the thinner stings), but 5 minutes with some 1000 grit emery paper sorted that out.

Absolutely blunt straight from the factory. Overall body looks great, but the cutting edge is useless. The photo below is straight from the package, not used! This might have been a one-off from the factory, but if so, it was not caught by the quality control department.

Really good quality pictures, works OK with my Android phone as well if you download a camera app. Comes with accessories and a nice carry case. This was much better than expected, and I will highly recommend it.

Q: The description of this set of files is horribilly WRONG! Those files have been made exclusively for filing saddle/nut slots and are definetely NOT for use with fretwork! Do NOT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THOSE FILES FOR YOUR FRETWORK OR REFRETTING JOBS! I WILL NOT WORK OUT WELL! Use them instead for your nut/saddle slots and things will be just fine. If you need wider slots, you can achieve this by rocking the file from side to side, thus widening the slot. be careful, thos files are quit sharp and a bit on the raw side, you will be too deep in no time if you dont watch out and be careful. For my personal taste those files are fine cause they can make an otherwise fizzy job, become an quick and easy task.

motorhead81 They aren't even useful for nut slotting, the relative gauges are 6 increments between 0.030 and 0.0472.

Good value for money, works as expected, and the gold finish looks great. The brass wool is much nicer to use than damp sponges, and the bottom of the unit is removable so you can dispose of the solder blobs that will collect over time.
