Donald I found the answer to this. IGNORE THE MANUAL. To select mode 4 for Sbus press the fs button until you get the red light flashing 4x. Once there DO NOT press the fs button again but just bind with the tx. I have a Taranis X9D plus and that will lock it into mode 4. I assume this will be the same with other Tx's. Except for this problem I have found that the Rx works well and one other thing there has been a debate whether you need a resistor for the direct battery voltage on A2. You can connect your battery directly with no resister in between.

Donald I have exactly the same problem with both of mine. I can not set the sbus and that's the main reason I purchased these. The manual says a single press but all that does is move to the next mode. I've tried a long press short press etc etc and it will only stay in the first mode. I've tried contacting the manufacturer and have had no response. Please can someone help with this

hueyhuey I have a similar problem. Mine works fine on 2S lipo but when I try to use 3S or 4S then the tyro79 twiches and spins in a circle. I don't understand why it's doing this.
