Great micro quad. Some things of note... The no RX version comes with a nice lead to plug into futaba rx. At the time of this review the rx wire has the 5v pin in the center, and the ground and signal wires reversed. Simply use an exacto nife to gently pry the plastic latch up and pull the leads out and reverse it if they havent fixed it when you see this. I did tell them and they were quick to respond back. The SF800MINI RX fits perfectly BELOW the fc , attached picture. The antenna wires go on either side of usb and up the top of canopy in the slits. The RX with the lead in the picture shows the negative and signal wires reversed. I expect they will remedy it asap as the sticker on the lead specifically said it was futaba compat . The thing flew perfect out of the box. I experienced a shipping exception and received minor damage from post man mishandling the package . It looked like it got cinched to his mail bag and the box crumpled. It was not BG fault, but they were very kind and fast to resolve it. The damage was only the vtx antenna . They replaced the part. All my tests were done flying Line of Sight , with the vtx simply disconnected till the replacement antenna comes. The charger is kinda meh. It does not label the HV side of the switch (its towards the usb jack) . In LV mode led blinky all the time, in HV mode the led is only on while charging. Woulda been sweet if that was noted if it was i missed it in my excitement. My only complaint is when I updated the FC (there is currently a problem when you update to the latest in bf google betaflight is trying to kill you by jbardwell on utube) so i messed up the tuning updating. Then I could not find the stock firmware on bg site. It would be nice if they atleast linked to the firmware page at happymodels. So... Surprisingly nice camera . Came with a joystick and extra cable for the joystick for setting it up. havent even gotten to that yet . This will probably become my goto camera for a bit.

The only thing to improve, Common FC come with dampers. Thread length on plastic standoffs is 6mm and seems difficult to obtain 8,10,mm thread length easily. This means FC sits on standoff but impossible to put nut on it is 6mm tall. Solution is (4x) M3 x 15mm pan head machine screw. Instead of stand off just use the exposed end of the screw for studs. Put plastic nuts that come with kit on screws to fasten the fc. Very kind to include a nice file for finishing the edges. Also pad for battery. Very happy with purchase. Will need to figure out a new camera to use because my standard eachine 15/20$ rig doesnt fit. This is a very nice frame im glad i got it.

Most of the problems have been designed out of these. The cap issue you can find videos on seems to have been fixed. I did however find that who ever assembled my pair failed to tighten two screws adequately which gave my pair the cross eyed problem. After tightening up those screws properly the problem is resolved. The battery is sufficient for a bit of flying. If I order another pair I will order 1. AV cable 2. DVR 3. Extra Battery 4. HDMI to av converter (This and the av cable are so I can use it with realflight / flight sim. ) I immediately replaced the antennas with some I had laying around. The picture seems surprisingly good for what I expected. Ive flown a few hours in the sim on them. I found I needed to set the av adapter as the primary display for the resolution to automatically adapt to fill the most of the screen. on 1920 x 1080 it had a letter box , when the resolution auto set it filled the screen. They have a usb jack for powering them so use with the simulator is pretty good. A minor inconvenience that the AV in is on one side and the power is on the other. It would have been nice if both were on the same side Now all I need is a tiny quad to fly indoors with it for practice.

App allows you to save to sd card if you set it. Monthly charge is not mandatory . TBH i gained no functionality over the sd card opperation that i could find with the free trial. Iphone and pc viewing is restricted to like 5 min intervals and then you need to refresh. BUT android viewing appeared continuous. I found it difficult, if not impossible to set the camera up on other services which is a bit of a negative since the camera itself is pretty capable. But that said, the sw that it works with works well enough, on Android. I would probably lower it one star on value because it only works with one camera app, but I cant.

Extremely easy to set up, very capable camera. Great picture. Powered from usb. Loud setup sounds. Can email on alert , or save to sd card.
