I use it to fly a Syma X5C. That's a small quadcopter I use indoor so there's no problem with the range. Not sure I would trust it outdoors and risk to see the quadcopter fly away. Anyway, the FS-i6 transmitter is a lot more comfortable than the one supplied with the quadcopter so this little module is a nice add-on. I recommend you put a small piece of heat shrink tubing to protect the module. If you're brave enough and know how to use a soldering iron you could even put the module inside the transmitter and power it through a DC-DC buck converter and an on/off switch.
