This shield fits perfectly on my Arduino compatible board. The PWM controller is a PCA9685. This board works flawlessly with the Johnny-Five Platform, I was able to simply plug in my servos, and go. I soldered on some headers to access the pins of the Arduino which were not used by this board. You are left with 4 analog and 8 digital GPIO pins, 4 of the digital pins are PWM. All the components are on the top of the board, which made soldering the headers from the bottom very easy. I am very satisfied with this shield, and I recommend.
