A friend lent me one just like this and since I liked it so much I bought this one. It works exactly the same and there are various models that seem to all use the hardware. This one only comes with 2 pads but there are others with 4. The instructions are in Chinese so that could be a problem but with only 4 buttons it's pretty easy to figure out. The On/Off buttons are also used to increase/decrease intensity and intervals. The Mode button switches between the different modes but to be honest it's basically 3 modes: 1) alternating pulse - similar to the acupuncture mode I've seen on a wand I have 2) massage - stronger, longer pulse 3) rising massage - like 2 but it gradually increases in intensity.

It's quite shocking. I was shocked. The gel pads work quite well at providing conduction and repeat adhesion. Tricky menu if you don't speak Chinese.
