If you plug a 220v on 110v the soldering iron will not work and the heatgun will take like a extra 10secs to get hot, and if you plug a 110v verion on 220v the heating elements my overheat and break.

Oscar No and since it cools it self down automatically you really will not need a replacement heat element, my previous heat gun is 8 years old still using the original heat element, but I took care cooling it down every single time before turning it off, and this unit does that for you.

Oscar English : it's a true 5 digits A meter, but it works in steps, only 3 digits work at the same time, example above 500mA it shows like this 1.58XXA, below 500mA it shows like this X.158XA and below (i think) 20mA it shows X.X158A, so it's a true 5 digits but under different loads. For the price I have 0 complains, similar priced units in Mexico can only measure 1.58A ans have no build in "smart" protections.
