osiixy The phantom power is just a power supply for the microphone (condenser mics usually need it), you connect the mic to the phantom psu with an xlr-xlr cable then from the psu you get an output which can be connected to the computer with an xlr-jack cable. Personally I've bought a USB sound card for it but it is not mandatory, you can use the builtin sound card if you wish (just be aware with the stereo-plus-mic connectors (all in one kind), in that case you need a spliter ). Cables are included.

osiixy Absolutely. It switches on even for very long press, and (as bonus at least for me), if you long press it to switch it off, you don't have to cycle trough the other modes (light dimming, flashing, SOS etc.), it just switches off for long pressing.
