Tinker Youwill need a USB to TTL serial adapter for the first flash, after that you can do over-the-air updates. I followed a video tutorial I found on Youtube. Just search for "ESP32-CAM ESPHome" and it should be the first result. The creator's name is "AIRI".
Q: hi. when powering it the white LED turns on. is the esp32 faulty? thanks

Tinker The bright white LED can be toggled on & off in your code. It is usually on GPIO4.

Tinker Lots of options for power. I use a "Micro USB to DIP female" adapter board and power it with an old cell phone adapter & cord.

Tinker I get that message if I try to power the board from my USB serial adapter. It provides just enough power to flash the board, but not enough power to run the board after it is flashed. After flashing I connect the board to a separate power supply and it works fine.

Q: can we reset min/max value anytime just push a button?

banggood Yes. Just continue to touch C-F at the bottom of the screen for 3-4 seconds and the Min-Max values will reset.

banggood Try replacing the batteries. Weak batteries can cause the LCD to appear dim.
