This is a solid purchase. I have only 2 minor complaints, the rest is good. 1- Matching the rod gradation marks to the body mark can be difficult. The gradations themselves are etched and unfilled so they are grey in colour. They completely disappear depending on lighting. A darkened rod to match the body with white or bright coloured gradations would be ideal. 2- The face of the gauge is round. I don't understand why this simple mistake is still being made. Even if it costs an extra $10 to make the face ovular or eccentric in some manner it is worth it. Otherwise it rolls off the bench and something breaks. I'm filing my face edge and will have the rod darkened somehow, or try some bright paint in the gradation marks. - Build quality is spot on. There are no nicks or broken pieces and the gauge was packed in padding. - Finish quality, while not 100%, is really good. The brass face is brushed (circular around center). - Everything works as expected. It can be mildly clumsy to adjust at first, but it isn't bad. - Gradation marks are etched very well. - Gradation marks are dead on, even at the full 12cm. - It's heavy, maybe heavier than you expect (was for me), but the body feels good in the hand and the weight balances well. Absolutely worth it.

The scale is off by as much as 1mm within 3cm of the end. It is not accurate at all. Tested against Starrett and Mitutoyo rules.

Be Aware: NOT ALUMINUM. The only aluminum parts are the 2 t-track inserts. All of the black body pieces are plastic (Just pick a spot on the underside and scratch it, you'll see.) Also, it was shipped without packing materials and the sight aperature broke. If you can, add instructions asking for the item to have packing materials in its box. Aside from that, this is a good unit. In fairness to Banggood, they helped me out. I'm keeping the stop, but I wish it was actually milled aluminum. The one upside is it is quite light. Everything fits together well and it is quality milled plastic, heh. The brass knobs are real brass, and the knurling is very good. Go into the purchase educated and your expectations will match the item. Cheers

Came padded in a box, no damage. The fence is clean of nicks or damage, it's flat, it's straight... I'm happy with it.

This is a quality unit, and it's clear from the moment you open the box. The parts are very well machined and cleaned up beautifully; I wasn't able to find any machine marks. The dial is geared and it is solid. It includes common angles where the dial will 'click' into place as you rotate, but it doesn't make the unit difficult to turn at all. The handle serves as a secondary lock. The brass knob is pulled back to rotate the dial and also serves as a lock. I think the handle would be better in brass, but that's my own love affair speaking. The handle that comes with is nice, if a tad small for my hands, but that's no complaint. It also came blazingly fast. I haven't put it to work yet but I did check it's alignment and accuracy and it's bang on. This is absolutely worth it.

All 4 rods are different sizes and none have a usable length of 150mm. The shortest has 144mm of usable length and the longest is 148mm. Don't pinch cut metals, you lose material (wasteful) and if it's not cut with extra to cover the unusable pinched ends, the customer doesn't get what they ordered. I needed 150mm, not 144, 144, 147 and 148.

Rod is shorter than the 100mm I purchased. When I remove the pinch-cut ends I'll have 96 usable millimeters. Don't pinch cut metals, you lose material (wasteful) and if it's not cut with extra to cover the unusable pinched ends, the customer doesn't get what they ordered. I needed 100mm, not 96.

Packaged in a bag, no support, end bent. The CM marks are wrong, inches marks also out a bit. The end is not trimmed correctly, is 1-1.5mm too long. The 0 mark should be the very end, but this ruler is just a touch longer. Even if you trim the end so it registers as 0 for both scales, the scales are not accurate. This is unusable in any way.

The base of the protractor, the half-circle part, is not perpendicular to the measurements, or you could say the measurement marks are printed wrong. Either way it is inaccurate. Testing 45degrees against a professional level tool shows this protractor is out by 1mm at 5cm. This makes it read 44 degrees at 5cm, instead of 45. It is unusable.

The ruler is accurate, both cm and in. The stop fits well with virtually no slop/wiggle. The stop is also square enough both inside and out. That being said, always check these things yourself.

Pejell Idid much the same, waiting to see if they have integrity or not. I find myself looking less and less to China for things I'd like to save on. Turns out it is so much better to spend a bit more and get quality and reliability.
