Photos are accurate, I like the sd card holder within the inner zipped mesh area, you know you won't lose them. The elastic areas are a little small, you need to wind your cables pretty tightly and neatly to get it to fit a-ok. I wouldn't mind a second zipped area for flash storage but otherwise happy wiht it

unit is solid, nice upgrade from the uv-5r. to program it in chirp you need to set it to uv-82wp (and have the cable of course) I would highly recommend also looking up the service settings for the unit and setting the squelch correctly - this can only be done in chirp. overall very happy with the unit, it is a nice upgrade in build quality and feel compared to the uv-5r and performs well

tested this in the sun with my USB power meter and found it could easily give 1amp to a galaxy S3. the unit does need to be clipped or weighted though, it'll get a move on in the wind as its quite light. The unit will try to output in low light environments - tested indoors, they may affect phones with bad charge controllers, but even an old S3 was able to figure it out and not charge when the power was too low. Unit is well built and cant wait to use it more

cable actually works with android - tested on LG V30+, the phone sees mass storage devices and a mouse fine. some do not work so this was good to see

my unit arrived with a couple of bad looking joints and some bent pins, easily fixed but previous orders have been 100%, this was a bit less than that.

good unit but 10 amp relays are a bit of a limit for 12v applications. Would like to see them covered with conformal coating to give the unit an extra degree of safety if being used with 240v, still happy with the unit however

use this daily with LG V30+, works well, charge takes about 4 hours from sub 20%. green light indicates if charging, use this with clear case on phone, shows well. Unit is noise free - was worried some cheaper units emit a high pitched vibration/hum, but this unit is perfect. looks good on the desk

Have had the unit connected and did attempt to get a fix to a satellite not listed in its set up, wasn't successful but will try again once a new LNB is sourced as it appeared to be faulty. Unit seems to work fine in menu's and was responsive, will update once I've successfully accessed the Optus d3 satellite I'm trying to work with
