This airplane is light, rugged, and flies well if built properly aligned. Mine has a DYS 1806 2300 with a 5045 prop, a 3s 500, 4x6g servos, and a small 6 channel rx, with a mass of 240g. It will climb vertically, do inside and outside loops and consecutive rolls, and will still fly slowly and easily at part throttle if you want. The landing gear mount and motor mount are strong. It taxis well, given the limitation of not having a tail wheel. The kit hardware is of good quality. My kit came with a misaligned fuselage--all the taper to the tail, seen from above, was on one side. It is important to fix this if you have this problem. Use straight edges on each side of the fuselage to see how much misalignment is present. Peel back the red sides from the rear to get to where the misalignment begins, and remove a very small wedge of material from the fuselage to allow it to bend so that the tail is centered. Glue it back together with the tail centered. The fuselage aft of the wing is also not stiff enough. Reinforce the fuselage with 0.5 mm carbon rod inset in knife slits you make in the side of the fuselage, running from below the back of the servo openings to the tail, and in the existing slit in the bottom of the fuselage. When you glue the wings to the fuselage, measure to check that the distance from the tail of the fuselage to each wingtip is the same. The cg should be on the spar. I had to add weight to the tail to get it to balance.

Q: can the propeller be mounted either way to measure 'pusher' props as well? this is a necessary feature in todays market...

Ken__ You need to run the pusher prop so that it pulls on the motor mount in the same direction as a normal prop. Run the motor in opposite from normal rotation (reverse two motor leads if necessary) and make sure the front side of the blades faces in the direction of thrust, just as with a normal prop.

This is an industrial quality unit which may have been removed from equipment, but should be very reliable, especially as most applications will not require anywhere near the full rated current. The output, an XT60 connector, has been added a little crudely, but is serviceable. Perhaps a little more tape could be added to the connection at the unit. The power supply has no switch, but you could switch it on and off with a plug strip. It came with a power cord for 220v, and an adapter for 115v. (no conversion necessary--it runs on either). You probably have an excess of 115v cords that will fit the socket on the supply, also. The quality is well worth the price.
