I gambled on these as an impulse, after a 3-day power outage. For years I'd been putting off buying decent area lights, and didn't have any when I needed them. I got these coz 3 lights + internal batteries for the price seemed a steal. They're not 300 lumens, and they're not 18000mah, but I guessed that. Smaller than the pictures suggest too. Probably 5" long and it's a good size. They easily fit into a pocket, and you can store them anywhere. The light works while you're using the USB output. The USB input and output don't operate at the same time. The output will just shut off and need to be re-plugged. If you need a USB battery that can be chargee and charger simultaneously, I recommend Xiaomi - they're very high quality. I'm terrible at guessing lumen output, despite being a flashlight enthusiast since ~2004, but I guess this is around 100 lumens OTF. Easily beaten by virtually any other light, but good for my use as a candle replacement. They look and feel fine for the price. The light bleeds through the case in spots where it perhaps shouldn't, and I can see some shadows under the white diffuser, but that doesn't matter to me at all. I don't like the modes. It goes high - medium - low - red strobe - red SOS - off. So to turn it off you need to cycle through all that shit. And the low isn't low enough to be meaningful. It's brighter than a nightlight, bright enough to be annoying when going to the toilet at night - so basically useless to me. I don't see the point of the red modes at all. Maybe a solid red light would be neat (still silly, but neat) - but we only get flashing modes so whatever. I think it would be a lot nicer if the low was called medium, and they made a new low which was a lot lower. And if it used a sliding switch to set the mode, but still had the on/off button. That way you could tell which mode it's in at all times and it wouldn't be so annoying to turn off. Not waterproof and they don't seem super durable, so I wouldn't recommend you use them outside. Certainly not camping. But maybe around the garage/shop/shed, or next to the BBQ would be fine. What I like most is the form factor. A nice small, stable area light. Easy to carry when you have to. And the fact there's 3 of them. And they charge via USB and serve as USB batteries. And they're really really cheap for a battery + light. They're ideal for power outages for me. But I do have a stock of all sorts of other high quality lights, batteries, and chargers so I'm not bothered if these things die. Until then they’re convenient.
