The kit arrived in good condition and relatively quick. One thing many first-timers will not like is no instruction, not even a basic diagram to aid in parts placement. You will have to have some understanding of electronics to be able to even begin this kit. And, of course, you must be able to solder reasonably well, the TEA5767 chip will be especially challenging as it is an SMD device. I recommend that you equip yourself with the tools for "hot air" soldering to do this part well, it can be done with an iron but requires a very steady hand and much patience. I was able to assemble it in an afternoon. One huge oversight in this kit is the antenna connection, the included antenna is not able to attach without modification. I had to enlarge the screw hole to accommodate a larger screw. The radio worked on the first try and received very well. One other small shortcoming this the case, it's troublesome to assemble and required a bit of "trial and error" to get it to go together. Once assembled, however, it is solid. Last, some better documentation would help with power supply choices, especially the plug size on the radio. A clock function would've been a nice enhancement too. If you're looking to build a small functional FM radio, however, this is a nice choice.

goku_rc Do you have an issue with the default led display with 3 leds almost always on on the top right corner of the clock?

Had to delay build initially due to miss 2T1 transistors (needed 6, got only 2, had to buy more myself). Otherwise works well, looks nice. Sloppy QA in the component packing.

Q: Bought clock for USA use, but keeps showing China holidays. i.e. today is August 1st, Army Day in China, not relevant for US user. Any way to stop it from displaying this?
