Arrived in Au after 42 days, shipped via Thailand. Good condition & no defects..None of the manufacturing problems reported a year ago are present. The only problem I've found is that the marked sizes on 4 of the 6 pieces are VERY hard to read. Despite this,.they are good value for money.

Good quality for the price. A 2.1mm dia. drill bit end fits snug in the inside hole. Outer barrel is 5.4mm. The tip barrel length (very important, but sadly NOT OFTEN STATED on internet sites) is 9mm - a standard size. The plastic cover screws securely on the metal part, without being loose.

Number of cores and length sent were correct. Definitely silicone: flexibility is good, but cuts easily. Will withstand a quick touch with 350C iron bit. Internal core covering material unknown. Core wires are tinned Cu, and have small CSA - as would be expected to let them all fit in a small outer diameter cable. Not especially cheap price, but reasonable value for money.

Fair value for money, especially as a +points buy. Seems to be accurate, provided it's used exactly as instructed. There may be an issue with how the batteries are fitted. The lid slides in the direction marked on it, but can be a little stiff. The AAA battery closest to the lid's hinge is placed so that its + terminal will contact the + marked on the lid when it is closed. The other battery is then placed so its - terminal will contact the - symbol on the lid.

Small and too easy to knock off the bench, but very good value for money when < USD25. Test leads are only average quality. Display digit height 18mm, and backlight stays on for a useful 2 minutes. To select functions, multiple key presses are needed as there are 18 functions and only 7 switched positions Temperature probe/function is well worth having, but electric field detection less so. Internal user-replaceable 10X3.6mm safety fuses are not yet easy to obtain in small quantities. Operating manual needs a magnifying glass to read. A downloadable pdf version would be useful.
