Q: Does the product have a thread cutting/boring function? I mean: does it provide an option to mechanically link the Chuck movement to the carriage movement?

Coops No, it does NOT have motorised feed. It is completely manual, no mechanical linking at all. You can use it for boring, but not for cutting threads.

great product, well packed and no problems. Just pay attention because these are security torx type, with the pin in the middle.
