Popss At this price I really doubt that it is controlled by a STM32 Microcontroller. Most likely just a correctly rated (I hope) potentiometer'You will have to check the temperature of the tip with an instrument made for that purpose if you want to be sure of the exact setting. Time will tell what the recovery will be when used on large wire joints and heavy ground plane pcb's. For the price it will be a great iron to experiment with. Try different tips and different settings to see what fits your needs.Aloha

I wondered if these would stand up to somewhat hard use. I am very happy to say that they meet all of my needs. These bits can work well in wood and plastic of course but they also work very well in soft metals. I have used them on aluminium, copper, brass, tin, and soft steel with outstanding results. I do not let them overheat and keep speed to what is proper for the material that they are being used in. The shanks on the rotary burrs hold up well with no cutting or scuffing. I am pleased.

I was going to provide a lot of photos with this review but I see that many others have done that already. When I took this item out of the box I knew that I was in for an excellent time. The quality of the microscope is outstanding and the provided items make it ready to set up and begin using all you need is a MicroSd card. The stand is very sturdy and this facilitates a focusing process that is easy and very accurate. The lighting setup is very good with the LED lights (I have added polarizing filter film to both lights and the lens cap and this makes the lighting 100% better). I especially like the remote ( if you place a small mirror in the rear of the microscope the remote works much better) as it makes for adjusting a limited amount of functions without vibration to the microscope. Make sure you have a new fully charged battery of good quality in the remote. Output to HDMI monitors and larger screens is very good (I will be looking into the circuits at a later date to see if there is a way to modify the scope so that both the microscope screen and HDMI monitor screen can be on at the same time. I will be posting a YoTube video about this amazing product in the near future. Working distance under the lens for electronic soldering is very, very good. Aloha Maui Popps

Popss This is not a linear power supply. So it does not use a transformer to supply the main rectified power for the DC output. This is a switching power supply. I hope this answers your question correctly. Aloha from Maui

Packaging was good, though delivery took 39 days to Canada. Works well. Quiescent current about 12mA throughout input voltage range. Figuring out how to wire it was frustrating, so I am attaching a sketch of my device as I wired it in a self powered mode. Note the thick red wire is the positive current flow return to the meter. Construction appeared good. Accuracy on voltage was great (+/- 0.01 V) while accuracy for low currents was good at +/- 1mA.

I have used quite a few soldering iron stands over the years but this is the best ever. This is a heavyweight winner!!! Has adjustable iron holder that is very well made and keeps the hot iron completely away from hands and fingers. There are two pans in the base of the stand for sponges or tips or whatever you want. I use mine to hold a container of brass wool tip cleaner and what ever else that is needed for the current project that I am working on. I will be ordering two more of these . I currently use one for my T12 soldering iron, I will use another for a TS100 soldering iron and a third for my solder sucking gun (I am not real happy with the gun stand that came with the desoldering station). What can I say, this Professional Soldering iron stand really is the best of the best!!! Aloha

I expected this to be a somewhat useless item. I gave it a try and to my surprise it worked very well. It worked on stainless steel pots and pans, copper bottomed pans and enameled cast iron pots. Just take your time and do not peel the tape down too far and you will have good success. I found that by placing a plastic tube around the item it worked better, the tight plastic tube kept the fibers standing up straight(the plastic tube was a old pill case with the bottom cut out). Just what I needed to keep at my work bench for projects both large and small. This Automatic center pin punch works very well in a variety of materials and is very accurate. If the pin ever wears it is easy to disassemble and sharpen to assure accuracy. Every shop needs one of these. Aloha

I purchased this item as a temporary power supply for my TS100 soldering iron. It has worked perfectly for that purpose. I used the soldering iron to build a permanent 24volt linear bench power supply box with a higher output for the soldering iron. Since that time this power supply has been used to power 24 volt fans in a soldering fume filter box. There have been no problems with this power supply in my uses so I can endorse it as a good product. Aloha
