Q: How do you change magnification? I can hit the left arrow button when taking a picture, and get x2, and then x4. It would not go up any higher. How do I get it to 600x? Without any magnification it is only around 30x not 600x.

Q: How come you can't zoom on this 1-600x zoom microscope?! There's only a focus knob and you can also do digital 2x/4x in image mode. Am I missing something, are you able to control zoom in some hidden control?

Yankee The magnification is the largest when the working distance is 2 cm.Equivalent to 600 times digital zoom Can be connected to a computer to zoom in as well.

Don’t expect anything fancy, it literally has three buttons besides the power. For the price through it does what it is suppose to do very well.

BG494864005 How were you able to get it to 600x magnification? At most it looks to be 30x. When I change the mode to camera I was able to select x2 or x4 with the zoom button but that's it.

This is a great boon to anyone with a vision problem. It took les than 3 minutes to setup and start working. The 600x magnification enables me to the smallest ID on any chip transistor diod or any other part. I am 100% happy with this item. Regards Tony Henderson

BG494864005 You can get it connected to the computer. I just use Yawcam.

We are extremely satisfied with this microscope and we can recommend it if you are looking for such a tool. It is an ideal tool to check the soldering of SMD-components on your PCBs and to get the codes on such parts clearly visible. The only thing we miss is the possibility to offer the images directly to a PC via the USB port. If you want to do something with the photos, for example publishing on your blog, you have to remove the card from the microscope and connect it to the USB port of your PC via a card reader.
