Q: 100W?!? What is wrong with you?

Preguntado por Janaehklar sobre 2020-08-24 09:17:52

VE1BLL @tol... "Read the specs"? Hey, do the math. It's less than 15w. The utterly false "100W" claim is prominent in the description. And FYI, "12:12 PM" (highest Sun elevation) would be for one particular relative longitude, the EoT for that time of year, and disregarding DST (where applicable). Cheers. :-)

tolerans0 Read the specs: Rated Power: 30W. That is the most it will produce on the Equator at 12:12 PM.

Q: Does it need an external air Compressor

Preguntado por Karel sobre 2020-03-25 07:06:03

VE1BLL Well, I see an inlet fitting where compressed air would be supplied. And the electrical gadget is merely a solenoid. So YES an external source of compressed air is required.

VE1BLL i have what is supposed to be the exact same phone, and it's Android 8.0.0. The one sold here just arrived this evening, and it's not really unboxed yet. Appears to be identical, but packaging is different. Once confirmed I will report here.

Q: what is the output?do we need to add lcd screen to display it?

Preguntado por vandana sobre 2017-12-15 08:52:49

VE1BLL As sold, it ticks randomly about 25 times per minute due to natural background radiation, YMMV. There are many Arduino projects described on-line to interface LCD screens and display in microsieverts.

VE1BLL Jumper J4 TEST apparently doesn't matter. Removing it would disconnect a series of 10M resistors leading to a test point J2 that is open circuit anyway. Mine is in place and works fine. See the schematic, linked in Description.

Q: Is it watertight? Can I mute the audio?

Preguntado por fefefeefeeee sobre 2019-10-12 06:05:12

VE1BLL Open construction, so not watertight in the slightest. To mute the on-board speaker, remove jumper plug J1 which is wired in series with the speaker.

Q: How do I get the data out of this device? Any manuals?

VE1BLL On this product listing, open the item details page and carefully look for the tiny link to more information. It opens a batch of useful files.
